Truefitt and Hill 1805 Review

Today, I write a review from one of the best shaving cream in the market, Truefitt and Hill 1805 shaving cream.

Frankly, I am a big fan of Truefitt creams, especially 1805 scent, but one thing that concern for most people were the issue of price, which is too expensive.

Today, we take a look Truefitt 1805 performance, lathering, price, and fragrance.

Truefitt and Hill 1805 Review

Named after the year the company found, 1805 is one of their best selling fragrance.

The scent is strong when the first time, but briefly fades to something mild and pleasant.

Open with notes Bergamot, Mandarin, and Cardamom combine Lavender, Geranium, and Sage, resting with Sandalwood, Cedarwood, and Musk base.

It’s easy to lather and produce reasonably slick (less thick if you compare with other creams), but enough for me where I don’t even notice when hair being cut.

You only use small dab to get a nice lather. Bearing in mind that it need less water, so be careful not too much.

As for the performance of the cream, it does a very nice job of lubricating.

The lather not only feels soft, but also provides smooth shaves.

However, it is easy to dry, so you need to go over an area couple times for a clean shave.

It contained glycerin; commonly add in shaving cream and shaving soap. It performs as lubricant and moisturizer.

However, it does contain parabens such as Isobutylparaben, Ethylparaben, Methylparaben, Butylparaben and Propylparaben.

From the few articles that I found on the internet, parabens are harmful to the skin.

However, I think they use it within safe limits, it was proven that they still have royal warrant logo.

I do not think the royal family would use it if they know it is dangerous.

I quote from FDA site:

FDA believes that at the present time there is no reason for consumers to be concerned about the use of cosmetics containing parabens.

I give it a 9/10. Amazing performance, lovely scent, probably would  given it a perfect score if it was cheaper.

Another that caught me is that the cream inside the jar isn’t full, there was a considerable air inside the container.

Truefitt and Hill 1805 is luxurious cream, it’s maybe expensive, but totally worth it.
